Paris, Paris, Paradise | Paris.2012 Soundtrack

(I didn't check that post on any mistakes so yeah ... if you find some: comment! ^^)

My time in Paris was very exhausting - we walked a lot. Our days were spent with walking, eating and sleeping. We always walked to a place (to see something, buy something or to eat something) and when we were back in our hotel we were so done that we often just fell into our beds. Additionally the weather wasn't really good, the sky was always cloudy and it rained a few times.
And Paris itself isn't so romantic and calm as you might think. The traffic is load, the Parisian know what's a horn. The drivers are all doing their own things and as pedestrian you just have to start to walk as well. Most of the houses also have a strange colour of yellow and beige so it seemed as if they were dirty.

The very good thing though was that we have seen a lot of things and been to a lot of places. Some people of my Arts class became my friends and other ones - with who I didn't really talk much before - became friends, too. The way it always happens on class trips.

I like to remember being at Seine, seeing the sparkling Eiffel Tower and seeing art, streets, corners and doors. I think I wouldn't lie if I'd say that I loved my trip to Paris.

On Tuesday I'll get my credentials and I'm not really able to say what will happen in my summer holiday. Well, of course we'll be in the Alps again and I'll be internetless at my grandparents - but still. I don't really have plans and I'd also like to spend my time until Friday with my friends. But on the other hand I'm very tired and lazy. We'll see.

Paris.2012

In Paris we often listened to music because my friend brought a loud-speaker thingy with her. An other friend of mine had the German Top 100 Single Charts 2012 and we listen to like 15 songs a lot (we also sang them and especially I danced to them, but well, both wasn't very good). This song actually needs a post just for itself. To me, this song is one of the best songs which describe love problems. To me, one is able to feel the whole pain of that story, perfectly made by the whole lyrics and the meldoy and the background music and the video which exactly shows the images in my head -

So, on Saturday I'm going to fly to Paris.
And I just don't feel like it.

Really, it came just too fast. I already made a list of things I need, I bought some cosmetics and the guide tour we have to do is done. But ... I've just been full of stress, I rushed from one day to another, and now - now there's holiday soon. I'm satisfied with my grades, I am, I'm just not satisfied with the time I lost.

Paris will be strange. I'll be a mix of school trip and flat sharing. It's going to be chaotic and unorganised. And I'll stay calm.

My friend is sure that there will be love troubles and I just responed "Oh, honestly, there's already something in the air!" and by that I meant that I won't be concerned with them - well, I'm part of them but I really just don't care what he feels. I'm sick of always coming to that topic when I make a post. I've made my decision and it's over. And I'll stay calm.

I will draw a lot. I think I've never drew so much during four days before. And I'll stay calm.

I discovered a wonderful cover song this week. Normally I'm not into cover songs - they're kind of problematic for me: Either they are not as good as the original one I heart before and like very much, or i've heart the cover song before and am very annoyed by the original song.

You know that I love Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers. And now I've heart that wonderful cover song by Triggerfinger on the radio. Yes, I like it. No, I love it!
The woman on the radio said that the performace wasn't planned and improvised. They used glasses and knifes on an empty dustbin which I really love. I also like the whistling at the beginning. It gives the song something cheerful which the lyrics don't have.

Well, you know that I don't always make it to post songs I like right away - which is, by the way and in my opinion, forgiveable.

But the fact which annoys me it that I sometimes found songs which I really liked and of whom nobody ever heart about. So I felt kind of special, I listened to these songs and sang the lyrics by hard.

That is the perfect time to post them, I know, but it doesn't happen.

And then, two or three weeks later, everybody knows that song. Everybody likes it. And I'm there like: "Well, yes, it's one of my favourite songs since a long time." And which I could be crazy about is that it always happens to songs which I really, really like.

(I know that I say that I "really like" every song I post here. Everyone is special. But these songs in that post had, have and will always have a special place in my heart.)

Gotye: Somebody That I Used to Know

So it happenend with "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Goyte. I heart it before my wisdom teeth operation two months ago, I knew the text by heart - and everytime there has been a ticklish moment I sang the song in my head.

It is such a special song for me but since Christmas and after that bad, bad, bad cover version everyone knows it.

I don't now which lyrics to choose. So I just take the chorus:

Lana Del Ray: Video Games 

And it happend with Lana Del Ray, too. I love her songs and her deep, heavy voice but the one thing which really disturbs me is the way she is promoted. This obvious emphasis on her outer appearance debases the music she is performing. She would be successful without these faked lips, eye lashes and nails, too. She is already beautiful.

(I think you now know my position of these acts the media drives persons into, just to say some key words like photoshop, bulimia, plastic surgery, that unnatrual need for being perfekt.)

I basically love everything from this song. Every single line is in my head.

BOY: Little Numbers, Waitress 

So there's another band which gets more famous at the moment so I want to take the chance to talk about them before everybody else does.

The band is called BOY and is made up of two girls from Zurich and Hamburg, Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass. Their album is already on my mp3-player because my sister got it for her birthday.

Eleven exams during six weeks, that's not normal.

But I still live. And I'm not very ill actually. I thought it would be more worse but it isn't - yet. :) In two weeks my wisdom teeth will be pulled out and I won't go to school few days.

On my way to school I started to listen to my mp3-player. You have to know that I usually don't do this, mostly because of my friend. Well, during the weeks our lessons often didn't start at the same time so I went to school alone.
I listened to an album all over and over again: "21" by Adele, one of the most beautiful person in the world I ever saw. I'm totally in love with her voice and her powerful, immensive songs.

There are a few songs I like more than the others. I can't say how much they touch me, how they make me to feel great. (I'm sorry for the bad links, I went crazy to find some I can see without having the rights and stuff like that.)

The Quiet Before The Storm | Catherine The Waitress

Today has been the first day where I noticed walking through leaves - through crinkly leaves.

I haven't wrote something for weeks because of two reasons.
The one reason is that our internet didn't work for a few days - sometimes it breaks down and after putting every plug out and in again it works - sometimes.
The other reason is that it's the last week before my autumn holidays. Most teachers want to use this time to correct tests and exams which means studying every possible stuff for us students.

So, what happened the last time?
I "worked" for a new blog project. (More announces will follow.)

I wrote another 135 min exam in my advanced Arts course.

There is a boy with read hair who I like and who seems to be interesting in me, too.

Autumn holidays start next week which I really need. I didn't think I would need them so badly - but the last weeks were very busy, I carried a virus about with me, exams were written.
The first week I'm going to stay with my grandparents (I think you know already the conclusion, don't you? I'll be internetless again.) I will be outside, enjoy the strange weather phenomenons - it's cold in the morning and very warm in the afternoon. This whole thing is very fustrating because I simply don't know what to wear. I don't want to freeze nor to carry a jacket with me the whole afternoon ...

But in the second week I'll be at home. It's the first holidays week I stay in Berlin and I decided to do it mostly because of - school. I will have to give to big presentations after the holidays and all the "normal" 90 min exams in my basic courses will follow. I have to use the internet for these presentations and one of the two is a partner presentation .... so, much to do!

After the holidays another two things will follow: An exchange with a college in Scarborough and a revival of our English Drama Course. I'm very happy about these two things and I look forward to have these experiences.

Honestly, I won't have time to post long posts here but I'll try as soon as I have time to. Check my tumblr if to would like to know wheather I'm still alive. ;)

They are playing "Mad World" by Michael Andrews feat. Gary Jules.
I really love that song because it's so sadly.

I also like the video. It is very creative.

And it goes with the wheater outside, I think.
You know, it's a typical November wheather: wet, cold, but not too cold so there could be snow. But it snows where I am going to ski next week. Am I not a lucky person?

And I'm happy that a person came forward - even though indirectly.

But don't think that I radiate vitality or so, I'm ill.
