Over the Rainbow
There is a song which is in my mind for weeks and I always wanted to post it.
I'm sure you know it already or remember it when you'll listen (otherwise I would ask me weather you never listen to the radio, watch TV or check song websites - I really would ask me where you've been last month^^).
It's "Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (uuh, difficult name^^). Iz is/was very, very popular in Hawaii. In 1997 he died at the age of 38 years because of his adiposeness. The government imposed national mourning - cool, isn't it? Now he is conquering the music world with a cover of Judy Garland's jazz classic - posthumously which is very sad I think.
I love this song so much because there's all the pain of the world in. And I've got big ideas ...
So, here's a link to a video (there're also some take-ups from the funeral where his ashes were scattered into the sea^^) and a romantic version from the end titles of "The Wizard of Oz".
If you want to get to know more about Iz → wiki ^^
I hope you'll like it ... we'll see.
